
Jay Schneider, L.C.S.W.
Jay Schneider, L.C.S.W. is a licensed clinical social worker, and a diplomate in social work. He is the director of Schneider Family Services, and founder of the MANAGE ANGER DAILY anger management program with over 25 years of experience providing services to organizations, individuals, couples and families in San Diego County. He has had a successful private counseling and consulting practice since 1985.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Schneider was the Director of Clinical Services for SAY San Diego, an outpatient mental health program. For eight years he developed and supervised clinical programs at three offices, serving over 500 troubled adolescents and their families per year.
Through Joan Kroc and Operation Cork he obtained extensive training in the treatment of chemical dependency at the highly acclaimed Hazelden Treatment Institute in Minnesota. Active in several volunteer organizations, he has served in several positions on the board of the San Diego Chapter of the Employee Assistance Professional Association (EAPA) including President, Treasurer, and Chair of both the Treatment and Clinical Standards Committees.
Mr. Schneider was honored to serve on Mayor Maureen O'Conner's Commission on Substance Abuse. He also served on the board of COACH, the San Diego Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse.
Jay Schneider is certified in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing by National Trauma Services. He has provided trainings, debriefings, consultation and counseling for a number of organizations in San Diego County. (see list)

In addition to his professional and volunteer work, Jay Schneider plays guitar in a rock and roll band called "One Track Mind". He and the band have performed throughout San Diego County at various charitable and fund raising events. His enthusiasm for life and passion for helping others is inspiring and reflected in all his pursuits.
Gina Simmons, Ph.D.
Gina Simmons, Ph.D. is co-director of Schneider Family Services, and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 19 years of experience providing counseling and consulting services for organizations, individuals and families in San Diego County. She developed the effective MANAGE ANGER DAILY FOR TEENS program which helps teen-agers learn to express their anger in appropriate ways.
Dr. Simmons is certified in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing through National Trauma Services. She has provided consulting, training, and debriefing services for numerous organizations in the San Diego County Area. (see list)
A former columnist for Living Better Magazine, she currently publishes the newsletter M.A.D. TIMES in conjunction with Jay Schneider, L.C.S.W. M.A.D.TIMES is a quarterly newsletter full of information about anger and stress management as well as informative articles on a number of related mental health topics.
Dr. Simmons developed an effective stepparent education program called Step Forward. In this six session class, parents learn to avoid many of the pitfalls of step family life, working toward family harmony and cohesiveness.
She has also created a career guidance program for those struggling to find themselves in the career world. This program includes testing to determine aptitudes, interests and personality traits, in order to find a fulfilling career.
A member of the Employee Assistance Professional Association since 1991, she has served as the chair of the Treatment Committee, and has provided speaking, training, and coordinating services for several EAPA events. She is adjunct faculty in psychology for San Diego City College, and provides community service education programs throughout San Diego.
