Stepparent Education:
We have developed Step Forward a stepparent education class to help stepfamilies navigate through the emotional and confusing stages of stepfamily life. This innovative program teaches couples how to cooperate better, and create a happy, successful stepfamily. Unfortunately the divorce rate for stepfamilies is higher (60%) than for that of traditional families. Stepparents need advice and guidance to avoid making critical mistakes. Our program consists of six meetings, each lasting one hour and 30 minutes. Reading materials are provided, and additional resources are discussed. Families can share their individual concerns and receive advice and support from a licensed professional counselor, and other parents who are struggling with many of the same concerns. To sign up for a class, or for more information contact us.
